At Grenada Montessori &
Preparatory, we proudly offer:
- an active learning community: children are
encouraged to be self-directed, independent, active (not passive)
learners, able to pursue their interests while ensuring that
all basic learning requirements are followed and met;
- small teacher to student ratios, allowing
for individualized, “ceiling-less” learning; teachers
are able to provide one on one guidance to ensure that each
child’s individual needs, whether they be remedial or
enrichment activities, are met
- mixed
age groups:
Preschool from 2.5 to 5 years; Lower Elementary from Grades
1 to 3 and Upper Elementary from Grades 4 to 6: allows for a
non-competitive, highly cooperative learning environment where
children learn with and from each other; no child is pushed
too hard or held back.
- specially-designed Montessori materials
help concretize abstract concepts thru hands-on work; in the
Secondary program, up to date learning technology enhances the
students’ learning experience
regular individualized assessments based on each child’s
actual knowledge and skills providing the best possible comprehensive
preparation for national standardized testing;
- highly-trained teachers fully committed
to providing each child the best possible guidance to help them
meet their full potential.
