Who we are
We are Grenada Montessori & Preparatory School (GMPS). We are a
non-profit school offering high quality, individualized education for children from 3 months to 12 years of age. Our programs offer the internationally-esteemed Montessori system of education, beginning with our Infant and Toddler program where we accept children as early as 3 months. Our Casa dei Bambini (Children's House) class is for children 2.5 to 5 years. Then the children move into our Lower Elementary class for Grades 1 to 3 and on to our Upper Elementary class for Grades 4 to 6.

Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952) was the first woman to graduate as a physician in Italy. Working with underprivileged children in the slums of San Lorenzo, she developed a revolutionary method of teaching young children. Observing that the child best learns with the hands, she created a child-oriented environment with hands-on materials which she designed to stimulate the child’s intelligence and senses.
Our Belief
We believe that every child has a right to the best possible educational experience which will fulfill his or her various needs, and allow him/her to realize his/her full potential.
